Our Pastor
Rev. Laura Batten-Carbaugh (she/her/hers)
Colesville Presbyterian Church is proud to introduce to our congregation the Rev. Laura Batten-Carbaugh, our Pastor at Colesville Presbyterian Church since November 2022. Laura is a Princeton Seminary graduate and has been leading churches in ministry for more than twenty years. She has served in a variety of positions including Director of Christian Education and Youth, Interim and Transitional Pastorates, and Co-Pastor and Head of Staff. Laura brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to her work as Pastor. Additionally, she sees pastoral care as a sacred privilege and responsibility of the Pastor (working alongside the Deacons), and is EXCITED to begin working, growing, and learning with and from the congregants of CPC.
Laura is a truth-teller, a transformational leader, and a passionate advocate for all people to come to know the love of God in Christ. It is Laura’s joy and delight to see how the Holy Spirit transforms and heals hearts and lives as we walk through life together. Laura is passionate about working for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and loving our neighbors without exception and she believes that radical hospitality, creating community, cultivating faith, and encouraging the spiritual life of all people are at the center of her purpose in the world.
